A youth riding a bike was washed away while crossing a flooded bridge in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The video of this incident has surfaced. In the video, water is seen flowing fast over the bridge. Meanwhile, a young man tries to cross the bridge on a bike and on reaching the middle of the bridge, the young man along with the bike starts flowing due to the strong current.
The incident took place in the drain flowing between Ponar Khurd and Dhapara villages of Barghat police station area. The water in the drain was overflowing due to torrential rains since Monday morning. Traffic was completely closed but the young man risked his life and tried to cross the bridge and was swept away. People are standing with umbrellas on both sides of the bridge. But everyone keeps watching helplessly as the bike rider drifts away. The only thing that came out of people’s mouth was – Oh! Gone, swept away…now gone. Meanwhile, the young man along with his bike gets lost in the strong current of water. Watch Video:-
Barghat police station in-charge Mohnish Bais said that we received information late in the evening and searched the spot but the young man was not found. The rescue operation had to be stopped due to darkness. In the morning the SDRF team has started searching for the youth.
