Obscene gestures to passersby, disturbance and ruckus in public places… Police arrested 21 eunuchs from many areas.

In Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, police have arrested about two dozen eunuchs from different places on charges of creating nuisance in public places and making obscene gestures to passers-by. A police officer said on Thursday that this action was taken by the AHTC team after receiving the complaint.

Giving information about this matter, a senior officer of Navi Mumbai Police said that the police had received complaints from local residents and other people that transgenders make objectionable gestures to passers-by and disturb peace in various areas of Navi Mumbai.

After this the case was handed over to the Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of Navi Mumbai Police.
