Clashes erupt in Maharashtra assembly elections.
With the announcement of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, nominations of candidates have begun. October 29 is the last date for nominations, but the ruling party Mahayuthi and the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi have yet to announce candidates for all 288 seats in the state. The dispute between the two alliances over the allocation of seats continues, although both alliances claim the issue will be resolved through negotiations.
Maha Vikas Aghadi has so far announced candidates for only 239 of the 288 seats. At the same time, Mahayut announced 215 candidates. Candidates for about a quarter of the seats in both coalitions have yet to be announced. Mahayuti is yet to announce candidates for 73 seats and Maha Vikas Aghadi is yet to announce candidates for 49 seats.
Maharashtra will go to polls for 288 seats in a phased manner on November 20. The results of the parliamentary election will be announced on November 23. All political parties in the state rallied as soon as the horn sounded for the upcoming assembly elections.

Maha Vikas Aghadi seat controversy
The list of candidates for the Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti constituting parties is being announced. There are 288 electoral districts in the state. Maha Vikas Aghadi has so far announced candidates for various parliamentary constituencies. Mahavikas Aghadi announced candidates for 239 out of 288 seats. Of these, the Congress has announced candidates for 87 seats, of which 85 seats have been announced by the Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray Group and 67 seats have been announced by the NCP Sharad Pawar Group.
Even Mahayuthi is not immune to the battle for seats.
At the same time, Mahayut also announced 215 candidates. Of these, the BJP has announced candidates for up to 121 seats. While the Shiv Sena Shinde faction has announced 45 candidates, the NCP Ajit Pawar faction has 49 candidates.
