A man was shot dead in Noida near Delhi on Sunday night, allegedly over a property dispute. The matter of late Navendra Jha and one Neeraj Gupta over property dispute is currently before the court. Police suspect the murder was caused by the dispute.
Noida police said a man was shot dead in a suspected property dispute in Sector 142 on Sunday evening. Inspector-in-charge of Sector 142 police station Pushpraj Singh said Navendra Jha was shot dead near Sector 137 metro station around 7 pm. He was then rushed to the nearby Felix Hospital but died during treatment. The body has been sent for postmortem.
A friend called him to meet him, then shot him… There was an argument two days ago.

According to the Indian Press Trust news agency, the police officer said that the investigation showed that Navindra Jha was involved in a property dispute with Neeraj Gupta. The matter is being heard in court. He said that some people suspected that Jha’s murder was the result of this dispute. The head of the police station said that the police have set up a special task force to arrest those involved in the case.
