Jammu, Sep 19: Indian Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Thursday said there was collusion between Pakistan and mainstream political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, NCR, Congress and PDP, which was exposed after a statement by Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.

Jitendra Singh said at a press conference: “After the statement made by Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, the truth has come out and the BJP’s position has been vindicated.”

Former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta, J&K BJP spokesperson and media centre in-charge Arun Gupta were also present at the press conference.

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said Pakistan and the National Congress, MDC and PDP were on the same page on the restoration of Article 370. Dr Singh said the BJP had always said that the National Congress, MDC and PDP were acting on Pakistan’s instructions. “The statement of Pakistan’s defence minister has now vindicated our stand,” he said, adding that “the calls for boycotting the previous elections came from Pakistan where these parties formed the government with only 5 to 8 per cent vote share,” he said.

Dr Singh said the boycott calls during the elections and the victory of the leaders of the Nationalist Congress, Congress and People’s Democratic Party with only 8% vote share also clearly showed that the boycott calls were also part of the deep-rooted corrupt relationship between Pakistan and these so-called mainstream political parties.

He said the Nepali Congress was responsible for militancy and unrest in Kashmir. “The Nepali Congress-Congress rigged 87 elections, after which militancy and militancy started to emerge in Kashmir,” he said, adding that “Nepalese Congress leaders, including Farooq Abdullah, had gone to Pakistan to meet Amanullah and other leaders to work out strategies to promote the Azadi movement”.

He said these parties once again wanted to plunge Jammu and Kashmir back into an era of unrest and militancy but the BJP would not let that happen.
