Modi government has given a big gift to Bihar in the Union Cabinet meeting. After the announcement of a new airport in Bihar in the budget 2024-25, now in the cabinet meeting, the government has approved an estimated budget of Rs 1,413 crore for the construction of an airport at Bihta, a short distance from Patna. Giving this information, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Central Government has approved many big projects in the field of infrastructure.

Bihar will get another airport

According to the decisions of the Cabinet, a new civil enclave will be constructed in Bihta. This airport will be made suitable for operation of A-321/B-737-800/A-320 type aircraft. 10 parking bays will also be built at the airport and an apron will also be constructed. This new airport will be ready in Bihta by the year 2026 with the help of Rs 1413 crore.

New civil enclave at Bagdogra airport

Apart from this, the proposal for development of new civil enclave and existing terminal at Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal has also been approved in the cabinet meeting. The Cabinet has approved the estimated cost of Rs 1,549 crore for this. The new civil enclave will be designed to accommodate operations of A-321 type aircraft and also includes construction of 10 parking bays and apron.

Approval for the third phase of metro in Bengaluru

Giving information about the decisions of the cabinet meeting, Union Railway and Information Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that apart from the airport, the construction of 2 corridors in the third phase of the Bengaluru Metro Rail project has also been approved. Corridor-1 will be from JP Nagar to Kempapura which will have 21 stations while Corridor 2 will be built from Kadbagere to Hosahalli which will have 9 metro stations. About Rs 15611 crore will be spent in this.

Metro service will expand in Maharashtra

Apart from this, many other projects related to infrastructure have also been approved in the cabinet meeting. Integral Ring Metro has been approved in Thane, adjacent to Mumbai, which will be 29 km long and will have 22 stations. Its estimated cost is Rs 12 thousand 200 crores. The expansion of metro has also been approved in Pune and there will be an extension of metro from Swargate to Katrej in which three new stations will be added.
