Line tension ends at Tirupati temple
Arrangements for darshan at Tirupati Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh are changing. In view of the increasing number of devotees, the Board of Directors of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has decided to set up a new darshan system with the help of artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art technology. In this case, as per the new arrangement, devotees will get darshan of Lord Venkateswara in just 2 hours.
Currently, a visit to the Tirupati temple takes 20 to 30 hours as as many as 100,000 devotees arrive every day. In September, a lot of controversy arose after the ghee adulteration incident at Laddu Prasadam in Tirupati came to light. Prasad’s arrangements were changed after this TTD. Subsequently, the first board meeting was held and the decision was taken.
Special entry darshan quota will be cancelled
Board member J Shyamala Rao said the quota for special entry darshan will be abolished. The controversy over VIP darshan remains and the board does not wish to raise further questions in this regard. On the first Tuesday of every month, local residents of Tirupati have special darshan arrangements. In addition to this, leaders will now be unable to make political statements inside the temple. After doing so, the board will issue them a legal notice.
Controversy over Prasad
Recently, controversy arose over the worship of Prasad’s laddus at the famous Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh. The ghee sample used by Prasad was collected on July 9, 2024, and the laboratory report was released on July 16. TDP claimed in the report that the ghee samples contained ingredients related to “animal fat” and “lard”. fat) and the presence of fish oil.
The controversy over Prasad has turned into a political debate. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu accused the country’s previous government of committing the “grave sin” of hurting the sentiments of devotees.
