Chief of Nepal Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigder
Nepal Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigder has arrived in India for a four-day visit. This is his official visit. This is an important step towards strengthening relations between India and Nepal. The purpose of this four-day visit is to strengthen bilateral military cooperation and explore new ways of defense cooperation. The Ministry of National Defense stated that the visit will be conducted from December 11 to 14, with the purpose of strengthening bilateral military cooperation and exploring new ways of defense cooperation. General Sigdel will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi today. He will receive a guard of honor on the South Side Lawn. Thereafter, he will meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
According to sources in the Ministry of Defense, General Sigurdur will also receive information on the Indian defense industry from a security perspective as well as the additional directorship of the Army Design Bureau.

On December 12, General Sigurd will attend the investiture ceremony at the Presidential Palace. Among them, in accordance with the unique traditions of the Indian Army and the Nepal Army, President Draupadi Murmu will confer the honorary title of General of the Indian Army on Sigdale. Apart from this, Sigurdur will also meet Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
The Nepal Army COAS will organize a lunch at the Nepal Embassy in Delhi. Later in the day, General Ashok Raj will plant a sapling at the Sigurdur Manekshaw Centre. He will leave for Pune in the evening.
