Kathmandu: Nepal has accepted free aid projects worth US$20 million from China. The news came to light during Prime Minister Sharma Oli’s visit to China. This is Oli’s first visit to China after taking office as Prime Minister for the fourth time. Information and Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung told reporters that it has been decided to accept China’s project assistance worth US$20 million (approximately 2.7 billion Nepali rupees).

Nepalese Prime Minister Oli embarked on a four-day official visit to China on Monday. During his visit, he plans to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on various issues of common interest. The foreign ministry said Oli was visiting Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Li Keqiang.
