NEET AND Counseling 2024: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will start National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate Counseling 2024 from today, August 14. Candidates who have been successful in NEET UG 2024 and are interested in applying for 15 percent of the All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats can do so by visiting the official website mcc.nic.in.

What will happen after registration for counselling?
The registration window for Round 1 is open till 20th August at 12 noon and the payment window is open till 3pm on 20th August. The participating institutes and National Medical Commission will verify the preliminary seat matrix from 14 to 15 August. The choice-filling window will open on August 16 and will remain open till 11:55 pm on August 20, with choice locking between 4 pm and 11:55 pm on August 20. The first round seat allotment process will be completed between August 21 and 22 and the result will be released on August 23. Candidates will have to report at their designated institutes between 24th to 29th August.

NEET UG Round-2
The verification of seat matrix for the second round of NEET UG counseling will be done by the institutes from September 4 to 5. The registration process will start from September 5 and will continue till September 10 (12 noon). The payment facility will be available for three more hours, which will continue till 3 pm on September 10. Choice filling will start from 6th September and will end on 10th September at 11.55 pm. Choice locking will take place on September 10 from 4 pm to 11.55 pm. Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on September 13.

NEET UG Counseling 2024: How to register
Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC mcc.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on UG Counseling tab.
Step 3: NEET UG 2024 counseling link will open for registration. Click on it
Step 4: Enter required information and register
Step 5: Now login and fill the application form.
Step 6: Upload documents, pay registration fees and submit.
Step 7: Take a printout of the application form.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct counseling for All India Quota seats, 15 percent seats of Deemed Universities, Central Universities, ESIC and AFMC, BHU and AMU. For more information candidates can visit MCC website.

As per the instructions of DGHS, 15 percent will apply for All India Quota seats and counseling will be stopped once the seats are exhausted. Apart from this, admission to all remaining 85 percent seats is provided under state quota. Admission counseling for state quota seats is conducted by state counseling authorities or committees.

These documents will be needed

Students going to participate in NEET UG counseling need to produce class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, income certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), valid identity proof, color passport size photograph, scanned Signature, Transfer Certificate, Disability Certificate (if applicable) will be required. In such a situation, if you are short of any document then get it prepared now.

Number of toppers reduced due to revised result

There are 17 toppers in the revised result of NEET UG, whereas earlier there were 61 toppers. A total of 24,06,079 had registered for the exam, out of which 23,33,162 appeared. NTA said that the total number of candidates who passed is 13,15,853.
