National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024. After the new revised result, the rank of about four lakh candidates has changed. It is noteworthy that there was a need to change the merit list after the Supreme Court’s instructions regarding an unclear question in Physics. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had announced on July 23 that the revised results would be released within two days.

Let us tell you that in the result released on June 4, 67 students had secured top rank. However, the Supreme Court’s decision, based on an expert committee of IIT-Delhi, ordered only one correct option to be accepted for the disputed question. This adjustment will affect the marks of about 4.2 lakh students who had chosen the already accepted answer, reducing the number of top scorers from 61 to an estimated 17.
