India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has won the silver medal in Paris Olympics 2024. In the final played at the Stade de France in Paris on 8 August (Thursday), Neeraj threw a throw of 89.45 meters in his second attempt. This was Neeraj’s best throw this season. Neeraj has won a medal in the second consecutive Olympics. Neeraj has become the first Indian player to win another medal after winning gold in the individual event at the Olympics. Neeraj is the first Indian athlete to win one gold and one silver.

Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won the gold medal in men’s javelin throw. Arshad Nadeem threw his second throw of 92.97 meters, which is an Olympic record. Arshad has broken the record of Andreas THORKILDSEN of Norway. Andreas made this record on August 23, 2008 in the Beijing Olympics by throwing the javelin 90.57 meters.
