In the case of rape of a teenager in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, the police is interrogating the younger brother of the main accused Nawab Singh Yadav, Neelu Yadav and the co-accused woman. After getting permission for 6 hours of conditional police remand from the court, the police team reached the district jail and took both of them in their custody.

Let us tell you that this case is of the night of 11 August 2024, when former block chief Nawab Singh Yadav was accused of raping a teenager. The police had arrested Nawab Singh.

After this, the police arrested the victim’s aunt as a co-accused on 21 August. In this case, Nawab Singh Yadav’s younger brother Neelu Yadav was accused of tampering with evidence and money transaction in the account of an acquaintance of the victim’s aunt.

Conditional remand approved by court

The Kannauj police had filed a remand application in the court on September 9, which was conditionally approved on September 10. The court allowed 6 hours of police remand, after which the Kannauj Kotwali police reached the district jail with heavy security force and took Neelu Yadav and the victim’s aunt into their custody.

The police will now question Neelu Yadav and the victim’s aunt face to face and investigate the money transactions and other matters in detail. Apart from the main case of rape, the police team will investigate all the issues related to money transactions and tampering with evidence.
