Nawab Malik
Despite the opposition of the BJP, Ajit Pawar gave the ticket to NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) leader Nawab Malik from Mankud Shivaji Nagar. Besides, his daughter Sana Malik also got a ticket for Anushakti Nagar. The BJP has continuously accused Nawab Malik of having links with Dawood Ibrahim. In response, Nawab Malik has now said that those who link him with Dawood Ibrahim will take legal action against him.
Nawab Malik said those linking him with Daoud Ibrahim will have to face legal action. “Besides money laundering charges, I am also facing false accusations of links to Daoud and terrorism,” he said. My image has been tarnished by these false accusations. If those making these accusations do not apologize to me, no matter how big a leader they are, my lawyers will issue them legal notices and take action against them.
Tickets issued despite BJP objections
BJP leaders have continuously accused Nawab Malik of having links with Dawood Ibrahim. Despite belonging to Mahayut’s alliance, Ajit Pawar fielded Nawab Malik and campaigned for him despite the BJP’s continued opposition. Ajit Pawar announced Nawab Malik’s name on the last day of nominations. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has replaced Suresh Patil.
What did Nawab Malik say to the BJP?
Nawab Malik said his stand against the BJP will remain the same as before. He also said that he would never support CM Yogi Adityanath’s slogan “Batenge to Katenge”. Politics based on religion will not last long. The Election Commission should take strict action in this matter. When Nawab Malik was asked why he supported Ajit Pawar who was involved in Mahayutthi, he said, Ajit Pawar helped my family a lot when I was in jail. That’s why I stand with them. Ajit Pawar is my leader. I don’t see anyone as a leader in the league except Ajit Pawar.
Nawab Malik further talked about Prime Minister Modi, Prime Minister Modi is not a leader, he is the Prime Minister of the country. My joining the NDA does not mean that I start supporting their ideology. He also said that I did not join Ajit Pawar’s party because of fear. Nawab Malik was not afraid of anyone. Such accusations keep coming but I will not compromise on them.
