During Navratri, devotees often fast for nine days to worship the mother goddess. Devotees eat fruits during fasting. There is a growing belief in fasting. In this case, everyone looks for something different to eat even during fasting. If you are also one of these people, then today we bring you the recipe of ‘Sabudana Kheer’. This kheer is very tasty and easy to make.

Material:

  • 1 cup sago
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 4 cardamom
  • saffron
  • dried fruit

Preparation method:

1. To make Sabudana Kheer, first soak 1 cup of Sabudana in water for about 15 minutes. Pay attention to the water when soaking sago. There can be neither too much nor too little water.

2. After the sago is soaked, pour the milk into the pot, add sugar and boil with gas. Meanwhile, add cardamom to milk.

3. Now add sago and dry fruits to the milk and mix well. After some time, add 1 cup of water and cook until the sago swells.

4. Take some saffron and add it to 1/4 cup of hot milk and keep it there for about 10 minutes. When the milk turns saffron color, add it to the pan along with Sabudana Kheer and mix.

5. Stir the saffron milk with a spoon to mix it well with the kheer. Your hot Sabudana Kheer is ready.
