Recently, the body of a real estate businessman was found in Suntikoppa, Kodagu district, Karnataka. The victim, identified as Ramesh (54), was allegedly murdered in Telangana and his body was burnt near Suntikoppa in Kodagu to hide the crime. Currently, the police have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder.
On October 8, a burnt body was found near Suntikoppa. Following this, Kodagu police started investigation. The main accused, Niharik (29) from Telangana, was arrested along with her accomplices Nikhil, a veterinarian, and Ankur, a native of Haryana.
“Murder to seize property”
According to the police report, Nihalik initially married Ramesh for his property. Nonetheless, she soon struck up a relationship with Nikhil after meeting Ankur in jail. Together, the two planned to murder Ramesh to seize his property.
Officials revealed that the murder took place near Hyderabad, where Ramesh was strangled to death with a rope. After the incident, the suspects took her in the car and returned to her apartment, where they stole cash and valuable property documents. The suspects then went to Bengaluru to buy petrol and drove to Kodagu where they set the body on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence.

The case came to light after CCTV footage emerged of a red car captured near the crime scene, which helped police find the suspect. The Kodagu police, in coordination with officials from other districts, swung into action and arrested the culprits.
