NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, led by deputy minister Ajit Pawar, is about to leave the office of his MLA son Zeeshan, a well-known name in Mumbai politics and film industry. As soon as he walked out of the office, three gunmen rushed towards him and shot him. Two bullets hit him in the abdomen and one in the chest. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital and efforts were made to resuscitate him, but Baba Siddiqui died soon after. The murder occurred in the middle of the road in Bandra, a posh area of ​​Mumbai, but the conspiracy was brewing in the Kurla area of ​​Mumbai, 6 kilometers away from Bandra.
The defendant stayed in Korla for a month
A video of a room located in Mumbai’s Kurla area has surfaced. The three accused gunmen, Shivkumar, Dharamraj and Gurmel, lived in the rented house for a month. This was the room where the three men conspired to murder Baba Siddiqui. The murder was linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang following a social media post. The post claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was responsible for Baba Siddiqui’s death.
Three defendants detained by police
The police and crime branch have intensified their investigation into the murder of Baba Siddiqui. So far, the police have arrested two gunmen involved, while the third gunman, Shiv Kumar, is still absconding. Mumbai police are continuing to search for him. Gurmail Singh, Dharamraj Kashyap and Shiv Kumar fired at Baba Siddiqui on Saturday.
Among them, Dharamraj and Gurmel have been arrested while Zeeshan, Shubham Lonkar and Shiv Kumar are absconding. Shubham’s brother Praveen was also arrested by the police later. The Mumbai Crime Branch produced accused Praveen Lonkar, who was arrested from Pune, before the magistrate’s court on Monday.
Lines related to Bishnoi gang
Social media posts claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was responsible for the murder of Baba Siddiqui. However, the news has not been confirmed and police are investigating the post. The Bishnoi gang also threatened Salman Khan and people close to Dawood’s gang. He said such people should keep their accounts.
Security tightened at Salman Khan’s house
Security measures have been tightened for Bollywood actor Salman Khan after Lawrence Bishnoi’s name surfaced. Navi Mumbai Police confirmed that patrolling at Salman Khan’s Panvel Farm House has been stepped up and additional security personnel have been deployed inside and outside the farm house. Lockdowns were also imposed at many places to allow inspection of vehicles. Apart from this, security measures have also been beefed up at Galaxy Apartments, Salman Khan’s residence.
