Mumbai Cricket Team defeated Andhra FC by 4 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Mumbai’s batsmen performed well in this match. Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dubey played strong innings for the team. It is because of these players that Mumbai achieved its biggest run chase in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Andhra Pradesh set a target of 230 runs for Mumbai to win, which Mumbai easily chased.
Mumbai completes most successful run chase
The opener got off to a stormy start for Mumbai, who are chasing a big target. Ajinkya Rahane and Prithvi Shaw (34 runs) played brilliant innings. After Prithvi’s dismissal, Rahane remained in the front line. He scored 95 runs off 54 balls, hitting 9 fours and 4 sixes. He may have missed out on his century but with his strong innings, he guided Mumbai to victory. Apart from this, Shivam Dubey scored an innings of 34 runs and Shreyas Iyer scored an innings of 25 runs. With this, Mumbai have completed their biggest run chase in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Previously, this record was held in the name of Pondicherry team. Puducherry then chases a target of 227 runs in 2021 against Andhra Pradesh. Now Mumbai has created this record in its own name.

Shrikar Bharat plays a strong innings
Earlier, Srikha Bharat and Ashwin Hebbar played well for Andhra. Bharat scored 93 runs off 53 balls. He hit eight fours and four sixes in the innings. Apart from him, Ashwin also contributed 52 points. Captain Ricky Bhui scored 68 runs. It is because of these players that Andhra team managed to achieve a great score of 229 points. Shardul Thakur, Mohit Awasthi, Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian took the wickets of 1-1 for Mumbai.
