Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari has been absconding for a long time. Many cases of Gangster Act are registered against him in Dakshintola police station of Mau district. Meanwhile, DIG has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 each on 5 other accused including Afshan. This information was given by DIG Azamgarh Range Vaibhav Krishna.

There is an allegation of grabbing the land of Scheduled Caste

According to DIG Azamgarh Range Vaibhav Krishna, land was taken from a firm named Vikas Construction near Raini village of South Tola police station area of ​​Mau and a warehouse was constructed on it. That warehouse was given on rent by the firm to FCI. This firm was registered in the name of five people. In which Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari, his two brothers-in-law Anwar Shahzad and Atif Raza as well as Ravindra Narayan Singh and Zakir Hussain alias Vicky were included. Investigation by the Revenue Department found that Vikas Construction Firm had wrongly got the land given on lease to Scheduled Caste people in its name.

Apart from this, land of some other people has also been taken from these people wrongly. The then Tehsildar PC Srivastava found in the investigation that this firm had wrongly got the land leased to Scheduled Caste people in its name. In 2020, on the basis of this report, a case was registered against five people including Mukhtar Ansari’s wife and his relatives in South Tola police station of Mau. After this case, in June 2021, the boundary walls of the firm’s warehouse were demolished by the district administration and the land was freed. In this, all the other accused have already appeared in the court but Mukhtar Ansari’s wife Afshan Ansari has been absconding since then.

Afshan Ansari is absconding since 2022

Later, based on this case, a case was registered under the Gangster Act in January 2022. But despite the case being registered under the Gangster Act in 2022, Afshan Ansari is still absconding. Mau police is continuously trying to arrest him and has already raided his possible hideouts in Ghazipur many times but the police’s hands are still empty.
