In view of the VIP event in Sheoppur, Madhya Pradesh, the government is constructing the road overnight. As a result, riots broke out during roadworks at midnight on Monday. A young man performed high-voltage drama in protest by lying in front of a police station car. Road construction work is going on overnight for the Vijpur by-election, people said.
In fact, people claimed that the government demolished around 20 houses that were declared encroachments to widen the road. However, the government did not demolish more than 15 houses while building the road. Around 12 pm on Monday, road construction was seen taking place and people accused the government of discriminatory behavior in taking anti-encroachment action.

After a lengthy protest, police arrived to quell the riot. A video of it has also surfaced. Locals said the encroachments have also been removed ahead of schedule due to the construction of the road from Gandhi Chowk to Vijpur Hospital. Houses with multiple people were demolished, but no more than 15 people were demolished.

Now, to ensure the incomplete roads don’t become an election issue, work is being done overnight. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, State President BD Sharma and Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar will arrive in Vijpur on October 24. In view of this, the government has cleared the roadside encroachments overnight and started road construction.
