A three-year-old girl died after falling into a borewell in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. Regarding this incident, officials said that a three-year-old girl died after accidentally slipping into a borewell near a village in Singrauli district on Monday evening.
According to the report, Inspector Shivpujan Mishra of Barganwa police station said that Pintu Sahu’s daughter Shaumya fell into the borewell while playing in a field near Kasar village, located about 40 km from the district headquarters, at around 5 pm.
He told that the borewell was more than 250 feet deep and the girl was trapped at a depth of 25 feet. The police officer said that the rescue workers immediately launched an operation to get the girl out and after a struggle of five and a half hours they were successful in getting her out.
District Chief Medical and Health Officer NK Jain said, ‘The girl was taken to the hospital in a critical condition where she was declared dead after a thorough examination. It is being told that today was the birthday of the girl who died after falling into the borewell. This accident happened while playing at around 4:00 pm, after which the death of the girl has turned the happiness of the family into mourning.
Even before this, incidents of children falling into borewells have come to light in Madhya Pradesh. Last April, 6 year old Mayank had fallen into a borewell while playing in the fields in Rewa. A continuous rescue operation was carried out for 40 hours to bring him out but still his life could not be saved.
