The Motorola Edge 50 Neo was launched in India on Monday. The smartphone, which made its global debut in August, boasts features like a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA-700C camera sensor, a 3x telephoto camera, MIL-STD-810 military-grade certification, and Moto AI, the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) suite. It also gets IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and 5 years of guaranteed operating system (OS) upgrades. It joins the Moto Edge 50, Edge 50 Fusion, and Edge 50 Ultra in the company’s flagship smartphone lineup.
Moto Edge 50 Neo Price in India
The Moto Edge 50 Neo is priced starting at Rs 23,999 in India. However, the company says that this is a “festival special price”. It is available in 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. The phone will go on sale at the Motorola Live Business Sale on Flipkart for one hour starting at 7 pm on September 16. Its open sale will start at 12 noon on September 24 on the official Motorola India website, Flipkart, and other major retail stores.
It comes in four Pantone-certified color schemes: Nautical Blue, Poinciana, Latte, and Grey—all with a vegan leather-finished back.
Buyers can also avail a Rs 1,000 discount with major banks. Alternatively, they can also opt for an additional Rs 1,000 exchange bonus. There are also carrier offers on the smartphone. Motorola has bundled Reliance Jio offers worth Rs 10,000, including cashback of up to Rs 2,000 and additional benefits of up to Rs 8,000.
Moto Edge 50 Neo specifications
The Moto Edge 50 Neo features a 6.4-inch 10-bit flat LTPO pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It can dynamically adjust the refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz depending on the content displayed on the screen. The display of this smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and the phone is also IP68 and MIL-STD 810H certified. For media playback, the phone is equipped with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos.
The Moto Edge 50 Neo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It comes with a RAM Boost feature that virtually adds another 8GB of RAM through AI optimization. The smartphone runs Android 14 and promises five years of OS and security updates.
As far as optics are concerned, the Moto Edge 50 Neo is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA-700C camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 32 megapixels for selfies.
The phone also comes with moto AI-powered camera-centric features such as moto ai processing, style sync, adaptive stabilization, and 30x super zoom. Other AI features offered by Google Photos include auto enhance, tilt-shift mode, auto smile capture, auto night vision, and advanced long exposure mode.
In terms of connectivity, the Edge 50 Neo supports Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6E, and 5G on 16 bands in India. It is equipped with a 4,310mAh battery and supports 68W TurboPower (wired) and 15W (wireless) charging. The phone measures 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm and weighs 171 grams.
