The pan-Indian film team of “Devra” will soon be traveling to promote Kapil Sharma’s show “The Great Indian Kapil Show”. The film’s lead stars Junior NTR, Jhanvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and host Kapil Sharma are ready to entertain the audience in a fun-filled manner.

Netflix has shared a promo for the show, which makes several mentions of Janhvi’s mother, late actor Sridevi. In the show, Jhanvi also spoke about how her parents adapted to each other’s culture after marriage.

Sridevi was mentioned many times in the show
Junior NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor took part in The Great Indian Kapil Show and talked about Sridevi multiple times. Interestingly, Sridevi’s legacy is also seen, she was born in Tamil Nadu and started acting in Tamil Telugu films. At the peak of her career, Sridevi acted in many films from South to Bollywood and was also known as the “Diva Superstar”.

It can be seen in the promotional video when Kapil asked Junior NTR who is his favorite North Indian actress? So he took the name Sridevi. Regarding this, Saif said, “The North Indian actress will be named after Sridevi.”

How Sridevi and Boney Kapoor have changed
Sridevi, who hails from the South, is married to Boney Kapoor, a producer from a Punjabi family. But after getting married, they both began to integrate into each other’s culture. Sridevi and Boney’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor, while talking about the incident on Kapil’s show, said her father “converted” as a South Indian because of his love for Sridevi. And Sridevi started fighting like a North Indian!

“Baba has converted,” Janvi said. After waking up in the morning, he started eating idli-sambar instead of potato paratha. Finally, it got to the point where Mom started fighting like a Northern Indian.

Jhanvi will also be making her debut in the South with ‘Devra’. Apart from Hindi, the film will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Janhvi said in an interview that the film was like “going back to her roots” for her as her mother Sridevi had done a lot of work in Tamil-Telugu. “Devra” will be released in theaters on September 27.
