He would often melt down stolen chains to make new jewelry and sell them in the market. The gang used to divide the money earned from the stolen goods among them.

According to the DCP, in view of the increasing incidents of chain snatching in the area, police have started patrolling and checking operations. While checking FNG Road, Aditya and Sunny were stopped for allegedly riding a bike, following which the entire gang was nabbed. The police recovered six melted chains, four chain plates, earrings, a pistol and a bicycle from the possession of the four accused. The defendant also admitted that if anyone protested, they would use the pistol to scare him.
