Monsoon onset approaching, IMD issues rainfall alert in these states, know the weather in the country

Rainfall continues in many states of the country. Meanwhile, conditions are becoming favorable for withdrawal of southwest monsoon, according to the Meteorological Department (IMD). IMD released on September 23 that the states of Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Moderate to heavy rain warning for Tisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala and Telangana.

The weather has been sunny in Delhi for the past 2-3 days. Due to the strong sunlight during the day, the temperature rises. The Meteorological Department said that another round of rain is likely to occur in Delhi from September 25 and may continue till September 28. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to remain between 33 and 36 degrees Celsius this week, while the minimum temperature is likely to be around 23 to 25 degrees Celsius.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, light to moderate rain is likely to occur in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in Odisha, West Bengal this week. Scattered to moderate rain is likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim over the next five days. Light rain is also possible over the next two days.

Odisha from September 23 to 24 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from September 23 to 26. From the 23rd to the 26th, hot and humid weather is likely to occur in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Heavy rains are likely to occur in Chhattisgarh from September 23 to 26, Vidarbha and East Madhya Pradesh from September 24 to 26, and West Madhya Pradesh from September 25 to 26.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, conditions will become favorable for the retreat of the southwest monsoon from western Rajasthan and Kutch districts of Gujarat in the next 2-3 days. The monsoon trough at sea level will now pass through Bikaner, Sagar, Jamshedpur and Digha before moving southeast towards the Central Bay of East Bengal. There is a cyclonic wind area in northeastern Rajasthan.

Apart from this, another cyclonic circulation is located at altitudes of 3.1 and 5.8 km in the central west and adjacent to the South-West Bay of Bengal. An upper-level cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over the North Andaman Sea during the next 24 hours. It is expected to move northwestward. Affected by this, around September 23, a low-pressure area may form in the northwest and adjacent central and western areas of the Bay of Bengal.
