The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Goa on July 23.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi is likely to be around 34 to 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 27 to 29 degrees Celsius this entire week.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is possible in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka and South Rajasthan. Whereas in Northeast India, Sikkim, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Western Uttar Pradesh, there may be one or two heavy rains with light to moderate rains.

Apart from this, light to motor trains are possible in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka. Light rain is possible in Jammu Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab Delhi, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the well-marked low pressure area over coastal Odisha has moved in a north-westerly direction and is now situated over interior Odisha as a well-marked low. At the mean sea level, the monsoon trough passes through Jaisalmer, Kota Guna, Jabalpur, Raipur, the center of a well-marked low pressure area over interior Odisha and from there moves in a south-east direction to the east central Bay of Bengal.
