December 1, 2024: Divyenndu, known for his iconic role in the film Munna Bhaiya mirzapurhas been roped in to play a pivotal role in Ram Charan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled RC16. This will mark the actor’s debut in the South Indian film industry. The film’s producers, Vriddhi Cinemas, announced the news on November 30 and shared the first look poster of Divyenndu on social media.
In the poster, Divyendu is wearing an animal print shirt and black jeans, with a long beard and a fierce look, which perfectly matches the fierce temperament of the character. Vriddhi Cinemas welcomed him on board in a special post on Instagram and said, “Our favorite Munna Bhayya will light up the big screen with a wonderful role tailor-made for him. The #RC16 team welcomes talented, Compelling performer @divyenndu joins.”
RC16 Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, it also stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kannada superstar Shiva Raj Kumar Starring Raj Kumar and Jagapathi Babu. The film’s music will be composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman and produced by renowned director Sukumar’s production company Sukumarwritings. The filming of the film is about to begin.
Apart from her upcoming foray into the South film industry, Divyenndu will also be seen in Agnia film written and directed by Rahul Dholakia. AgniSet to release on Amazon Prime Video on December 6, it stars Pratik Gandhi, Jitendra Joshi, Saiyami Kher and Kabir Shah. The film depicts the bravery and sacrifice of firefighters, with Divyendu playing Samit, the brother-in-law of the protagonist Vitthal (played by Pratik Gandhi).
Divyenndu impressed audiences with his performance earlier this year Margaon ExpressPopular for her ruthless portrayal of Munna Bhaiya in the web series mirzapur. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Rasika Duggal, the show has been a hit and its fourth season is currently in production. Hopefully, Munna Bhaiya’s chaotic and intense character will be brought to the screen more often.
