After this, he chose to lift 114 kg in the third and last attempt of clean and jerk. But she could not lift it successfully and was eliminated from the Paris Olympics by finishing fourth.
Mirabai won silver in Tokyo Olympics
Mirabai had a chance to create history in the Olympics by winning a medal. She could have become the first Indian weightlifter to win two medals in the Olympics. Before him, Karnam Malleswari had won bronze in Sydney 2000. This record of hers was broken by Mirabai by winning silver in Tokyo.
