A sensational incident of rape of a minor girl has come to light in Badaun, UP. A 25-year-old man made a 12-year-old girl the victim of his lust in a village field in the Sahaswan area of the district. Hearing the girl’s scream, people reached the crime scene. By then the accused fled from there. Police have registered the case and started searching for the accused.
According to the police, this incident happened on Sunday evening. At that time the minor girl had gone to the fields to defecate. Then the accused resident of the village reached there. He forcibly raped her. During this the girl started screaming in pain. Hearing his voice, the villagers reached the spot and saved him. After this they took him to the hospital. The victim is undergoing treatment there.
Sahaswan SHO Saurabh Singh said that based on the complaint of the victim girl’s family, an FIR has been registered against the accused. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. The condition of the victim is critical. Let us tell you that in the month of March also, a case of gang rape of a minor had come to light. This incident was carried out by two real brothers.
Police had said that a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by two brothers in Alapur police station area of the district and later pushed her down from the roof of a two-storey building. He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Both the accused lived in the same neighborhood as the victim. On the day of the incident, he took her to the terrace and made her a victim of his lust.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau report for the year 2021, 60.96 lakh criminal cases were registered in the country. 4.28 lakh cases of crimes against women were registered. Accordingly, 1173 cases were registered every day. In comparison to the year 2020, 15 percent more cases of crimes against women were registered in 2021. 1.49 lakh crimes against children were recorded.
This number is more than 16 percent compared to the year 2020. Most cases of crimes against children were registered under Kidnapping and POCSO Act. At the same time, 31677 cases of rape were registered, in which 31878 were victims. That means, three women were raped every hour. Of these, 28840 were adults and 3038 were minors. 3800 cases of attempt to rape were registered.
