‘Ministers should meet the public and solve their problems, visit the districts under their charge…’, CM Yogi’s instructions to ministers

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assigned the responsibility of districts to the ministers afresh. The Chief Minister and both the Deputy Chief Ministers have the charge of 25 districts each. It will be rotated every four months. The CM has asked the ministers in charge to go to the field. He said that the ministers should meet the public, communicate and solve public problems. The Chief Minister along with both the Deputy Chief Ministers will also coordinate and cooperate in discharging the responsibilities given to the ministers in charge. Every minister in charge will visit the district under his charge every month. They will stay overnight and develop a mechanism for better implementation of the schemes of the Central and State Government.

Ministers will have to send the report of their district visits to the Chief Minister’s office. During their visits to districts, they will have to communicate with every section of the society. It is important for the ministers to inspect the development works. Swachhata Mahabhiyan will be launched on the birthday of the Prime Minister. Ministers in charge will be present in the districts.

In the cabinet meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi, both the Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, State Ministers (Self-Pradhan), State Ministers have been assigned the responsibility of their new charge districts. In which the Chief Minister has also assigned the responsibility to himself and the two Deputy Chief Ministers along with him to review 25-25 districts.

These instructions were given to the ministers in the meeting

● The Swachhata Abhiyan is to be launched on the upcoming 17th September on the birthday of the Prime Minister. All the ministers in charge will ensure participation in this program in the districts under their charge.

● As the Minister in-charge of the district, the Minister will visit the district under his charge for 24 hours at least once every month.

● The Minister-in-charge will discuss the issues related to governance with the core committee and will prepare a detailed report and present it to the concerned department and the Chief Minister’s office every month.

● There should be a meeting with one of the respected enlightened citizens of the district, religious leaders, progressive farmers, business organizations and groups of social leaders in each visit.

● Public complaints are to be resolved on the basis of merit in the district review meeting. Law and security related issues, issues related to the revenue department such as inheritance, measurement, transfer, land use including IGRS, CM Helpline etc. should be reviewed and resolved on the basis of merit. A detailed report of its review should be compulsorily sent to the Chief Minister’s Office and the concerned department.

● The development projects and public welfare schemes of the Central and State Government should also be physically verified during the visit at the local level.

● Physical inspection of any one of the destitute cow shelters, village secretariat, purchase center, fair price shop, agricultural science center will have to be done during the visit.

● On-site inspection of the work of Atal Residential School, Primary Schools, Schools, Government Colleges, Kasturba Gandhi Universities/Colleges under construction, review of functioning of Polytechnic/ITI should be done.
