Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge targeted the Modi government over recruitment of reserve teachers in central universities. He claimed that out of about 19,000 sanctioned posts in 46 central universities, 27% are vacant, of which more than 38% of the posts reserved for SCs, STs and OBCs are vacant. Now Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has taken aim at the Congress party over the matter and he has completely denied the allegations made by the Congress president.
He hit back at Congress by sharing a lengthy message on social media. He said Congress has a habit of lying. When one lie doesn’t last, they come up with another one. However, the truth is as clear as glass. In 2014, when the Congress government was in power, there were a total of 16,217 posts in central universities, of which 6,042 posts were vacant, accounting for 37% of the total posts. 57%, 63% and 60% posts of SC, ST and OBC are vacant.
“The current situation is better than the UPA government”
The Union Minister said that the current situation is much better than that of the UPA government. The Modi government is moving quickly to fill all these vacant posts through various ministries. That is why, although the number of approved positions for 2024 (18,940) has increased compared to 2014, the total number of vacancies has dropped from 37% to 26.8% today. He said that over 6890 education posts including 939 (13.6%) SC, 464 (6.7%) ST, 1535 (22.27%) OBC and 348 (5.05%) were recruited in mission mode in the past two years. EWS is from. The minister said that the Congress party has no right to talk about backward people as the Congress party has been trying to snatch the rights of SC, ST and OBC for decades while the government of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not done so. This is done not only to provide rights to SC, ST and OBC but also to the economically weaker EWS category.
