The Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is gearing up to contest every seat in the Assembly elections. The party has now all but decided to pit Lok Sabha MP Milind Deora against Shiv Sena UBT’s Aditya Thackeray for the Worli seat.
Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is busy finalizing its candidate to contest Aditya Thackeray, with the party considering several names yesterday. BJP spokesperson Shaina NC is all set to join the Shiv Sena and contest the elections from this seat, just like Nilesh Rane joined the Shiv Sena and contest the elections in spades.
The parties are considering all the equations
Marathi actress Sushant Shelar’s name is also being considered. Milind Deora, then the party’s Lok Sabha member, was appointed in-charge of Worli during the Lok Sabha elections.

The party believes Worli has a solid Maratha middle class, fishermen community and affluent sections for whom Milind can drum up support. MNS has fielded Sandeep Deshpande and is hoping to get support from Shiv Sena but Shinde wants to ensure Shiv Sena candidate against Aditya.
Triangle race to be held in Worli
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray submitted his nomination to Worli on Thursday. Milind Deora is currently a member of the Lok Sabha and has served as South Mumbai MP for three times. Deora has been assigned the task of handling Worli during the Lok Sabha elections. Despite being Aditya’s constituency, UBT leads by only 6,500 votes in Worli Assembly.
With the addition of Deora, there will be a triangular race with Aditya Thackeray on one side and Sandeep Deshpande of MNS on the other.
