Meerut Kidnapping Case: A shocking case of kidnapping has come to light from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. Where three kidnappers were caught by the police just a few hours after kidnapping a 6-year-old innocent girl and the innocent girl reached her home safely. According to the police, all three kidnappers were arrested after an encounter.
Giving information about this on Tuesday, Meerut Police said that the former driver of a junior engineer of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and two others have been arrested for kidnapping his six-year-old daughter. Meerut Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh said that the girl was kidnapped on Monday afternoon and the accused had demanded a ransom of Rs 3 crore for her release.
The family immediately informed the police about this. The police immediately registered an FIR and launched a search operation to catch the accused. According to ASP Ayush Vikram Singh, the girl reached her home within a few hours of the kidnapping, because the police had closed all the entry and exit routes to the city. Due to this, the kidnappers were scared.
The ASP said that out of the three accused, the officer’s former driver Akash and Raju were arrested after an encounter on Monday night. Ajay was caught later. He said that two country-made pistols and a car used in the kidnapping have been seized from them.
During interrogation, Akash confessed that he had planned the kidnapping after he was removed from his job as a driver, police said. Elaborating on the modus operandi, Akash told police that they had hired a car and waited outside the officer’s house and kidnapped his daughter when she returned home from school in an auto-rickshaw at around 1:30 pm.
Now after the girl returned home safely, the family members have breathed a sigh of relief.
