Aarushi Mishra, who was studying at Karad Medical College in Satara, Maharashtra, was pushed down from a multi-storey building on July 30 by her classmate Dhruv Chikkar. In this the victim died on the spot. It is being told that before this murder incident, there was a lot of argument between Aarushi and Dhruv, which soon turned into a fight and scuffle.
Police say that Dhruv had called Aarushi to his flat. His allegation was that Aarushi was having an affair with someone. There was a fight between the two regarding this. After this, Dhruv pushed Aarushi, due to which she fell down and died on the spot. Dhruv also got injured in this fight. His leg broke. He was admitted to the hospital.

Satara Superintendent of Police Sameer Shaikh said, “Aarushi and Dhruv were studying together and were in a relationship for the last two years. There was some dispute going on between the two for the last few days. The mother of the deceased, who is a doctor in Bihar, In her complaint she has claimed that the accused used to quarrel with her daughter and forbade her from talking to other male classmates.
When the victim went away, the accused used to chase her.
She also said in her complaint that accused Dhruv Chikkar used to physically abuse her daughter Aarushi Mishra. He had told his mother about all this. This is the reason why his mother advised him to stay away from her. But the deceased told her that when she tried to stay away from him, he started following her. Police have arrested the accused.
