MBBS in Hindi: Many state governments in India are actively working to bring MBBS education in Hindi medium. The move is aimed at making medical education more accessible to students living in different parts of the country. After Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, now Chhattisgarh has also taken this initiative. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced the introduction of MBBS in Hindi at a conference in Raipur.

On the occasion of Hindi Day on September 14, CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that Hindi should be promoted in study and work, otherwise we will not be able to achieve the objectives of Hindi Day. The CM said that from this session in the state, medical education will also be conducted in Hindi.

Provide Hindi MBBS Books
He said, ‘Today is Hindi Day. Hindi Day extends best wishes and congratulations to all the people of Chhattisgarh. Today our government is taking a big decision. Celebrating Hindi Day will be meaningful only when we implement Hindi at all levels of government, administration and education. Work will be done in Hindi. In this order, our government has taken this decision. We will also arrange MBBS education in Hindi. This year, the first MBBS course will be provided with the facility of learning in Hindi. For this, the health department has been instructed to provide books according to the number of students.’

Happy with PM Modi’s intention
He expressed happiness over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intention to conduct medical studies in Hindi in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh by 2022. “We will implement it,” the CM said. “Medical education in the state will also be conducted in Hindi. There are 10 government medical colleges in our state. The biggest benefit of providing medical education in Hindi will be for our students from rural background, who mostly come from Hindi medium. The biggest advantage of education in mother tongue is that it helps in understanding the subject in detail. Talented Hindi students will benefit from it.”

CM on implementing the New Economic Policy
Talking about the new education policy, CM Vishnu Dev Sai further said that this step is part of efforts to “change our education policy at all levels, from the old Macaulay imperialist education policy”. He also claimed that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has been fully implemented in Chhattisgarh.
