To stop incidents like Sambhal, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has moved the Supreme Court. Maulana Arshad Madani said Sambhar is a vivid portrayal of anarchy, injustice, cruelty and brutality. The hatred that has spread in the country for years has now reached the level of bullets. Peace in the country is deteriorating due to non-compliance with safety laws for places of worship. These incidents should be stopped. Despite the Places of Worship Act 1991, lower courts issued orders to investigate Muslim places of worship, violating the law.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking protection of the law protecting places of worship and its effective implementation, but no hearings have been held in the past year. The then Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud submitted several affidavits to the central government, but the case could not be heard.
Police brutality has a long history
Now after the Sambhar incident, Jamit has appealed the matter to the Supreme Court. A request has been made to hear it as soon as possible. Lawyer Ajaz Maqbool has written to the Registrar of the Supreme Court seeking representation of the matter before the Chief Justice of India.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Chairman Maulana Arshad Madani said Jamiat stands with the victims of police firing and vandalism in Sambhar. Police brutality has a long history and the same face of the police can be seen everywhere, be it Maliana or Hashimpura, Moradabad, Haldwani or Sambhar. But the job of the police is to maintain public order and protect people’s lives and property. Unfortunately, instead of promoting peace, the police treat minorities, especially Muslims, like political parties.
There should be no discrimination based on religion
Madani said it should be remembered that double standards of justice can lead to unrest and destruction. Therefore, the standard of the law should be the same for everyone. No citizen should be discriminated against on the basis of religious belief. Neither the country’s constitution nor the law allows this.
Madani said vivid scenes of anarchy, injustice, cruelty and atrocities existed in Sambhar and were of concern not only to the people of the country but also to people around the world. Now things have reached a fever pitch. How he was shot in the chest without any provocation in Sambal. Many videos have gone viral, but now as part of a larger conspiracy, the government is trying to show that the people who were killed were not killed by the police but by someone else’s bullets.
Didn’t the police shoot?
The big question, he said, is did the police not fire their weapons? As police bullets rained down. He said no sane person could accept this theory because the entire truth was caught on camera. Saving the police means a change in police tactics in killing Muslim youths. To do this, they started using illegal weapons.
Maulana Madani said that this kind of controversy is not just happening in Sambhar but is happening in many parts of the country. Regarding our places of worship and the way the local judiciary has made irresponsible decisions in these cases, it violates the Places of Worship Protection Act 1991. However, the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Babri Masjid dispute is insulting.
The Muslim took a sip of the bitter wine
He said that based on this decision, it is believed that no mosque will be built in Ayodhya, which is seen as a bittersweet decision by Muslims, but this decision will establish peace and order in the country. And after the decision, the morale of the public forces improved. Now, even after this decision, temples are still found in the foundations of mosques, so this means that the public forces of the country are enemies of peace and unity. The government, though silent, appears to be supporting these people behind the scenes, and the Sambal incident is the latest proof.
