Amid the uproar over the waqf amendment bill at the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) meeting, RSS leader Indresh Kumar highlighted the need for reforms in the National Waqf Board. Indresh Kumar claimed that widespread corruption in the board of directors had led to the illegal occupation of many properties of waqfs.

Indresh Kumar, leader of the RSS-affiliated Muslim Awami League, urged the Muslim community to unite to protect their properties. The meeting held by the Juvenile Information Commission on the Religious Endowment Amendment Bill was full of controversy, with different stakeholders expressing different opinions.

The RSS leader also appealed to people to refrain from bursting firecrackers. Indresh Kumar expressed concern over the rising pollution in Delhi and the National Capital Territory. He called on everyone to set off firecrackers in moderation, saying that now is a holiday and we should celebrate it in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
Pay attention to protecting women’s rights and interests
Indresh Kumar laid special emphasis on women empowerment and prayed that no sister, daughter-in-law or daughter of the Muslim community should become a victim of triple talaq or other unjust traditions. He stressed the need to protect the rights of Muslim women and provide them with equal opportunities so that they too can establish their identity in society.
