Mangla Gauri Vrat 2024: Mangala Gauri Vrat starts one day after the beginning of the month of Sawan. While Sawan Somwar fast will be observed on Monday, Mangala Gauri fast is observed on the next day i.e. Tuesday. Women observe this fast to wish for the long life of their husbands and also unmarried girls observe this fast to wish for a good groom. Mangala Gauri fast is observed on four Tuesdays of Sawan. The first Mangala Gauri fast of Sawan is being observed today i.e. on 23rd July. On this day, Lord Shiva should also be worshiped along with Mother Parvati.

During this fast, wake up early in Brahma Muhurta. After retiring from daily activities, one should observe the fast wearing clean, washed or new clothes. In this fast, Mother Parvati is worshiped throughout the day by taking food at one time. Take a picture or statue of Maa Mangala Gauri (Parvatiji). Then one should take a pledge to fast with the mantra ‘Mam putraputrasaubhagyavridhaye shrimangalagauriprityartham panchavarshaparyantam mangalagaurivratamaham karishye’.

Vijay Muhurta will be from 2:44 pm to 3:39 pm. Mother Gauri is worshiped in these three yogas.
