Petition filed in High Court
According to the information, former Union Minister and former BJP MP from Sultanpur Maneka Gandhi has challenged the election of Rambhual Nishad, who was elected MP in the Sultanpur Lok Sabha elections, in the Lucknow High Court. In the petition filed in the High Court, Maneka Gandhi has appealed to cancel the election of SP MP Ram Bhual Nishad.

Senior advocate Prashant Singh Atal filed the election petition on behalf of Maneka Gandhi. It has been said in the petition that there are 12 cases registered against Ram Bhual Nishad, but he has mentioned only 8 cases in the affidavit given to the Election Commission.

Maneka Gandhi could not save her seat
Let us tell you that BJP leader Maneka Gandhi has not been able to save her seat from Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh this time. Here Rambhual Nishad of Samajwadi Party has won by 43174 votes. SP got 444330 votes, while BJP could get 401156 votes. Whereas, if we talk about the results of the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Maneka Gandhi had won by 4,59,196 votes.

Who is MP Ram Bhual Nishad?
Ram Bhual Nishad was earlier in BJP, but later joined SP. According to the affidavit given in the Lok Sabha elections, there are 8 criminal cases registered against him. His age is 64 years. In the affidavit given in the Lok Sabha elections, he has mentioned the sources of his income as agricultural produce and politician pension. Rambhual Nishad has also been MLA from Kaudiram assembly seat twice.

Minister of State for Fisheries has been in BSP government
He has also been the Minister of State for Fisheries in the BSP government in Uttar Pradesh in 2007. Ram Bhual is considered to have a good hold in Gorakhpur, Sultanpur and its surrounding areas. In 2012, he had sought ticket from BJP from Gorakhpur Rural, but Vipin Singh was given the ticket in his place. Due to this he became angry with BJP.

Have also contested elections against CM Yogi
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rambhual Nishad stood against current UP CM Adityanath Yogi, but could not win and stood third. After this he got a ticket from BSP, but his ticket was canceled after his controversial statements. In 2019, SP had once given him ticket and made him MP candidate from Gorakhpur, but BJP’s Ravikishan had won. After this, in 2024, SP gave him ticket from Sultanpur. He has won from Sultanpur on SP ticket.
