Man who demanded Rs 5 crore ransom from Salman Khan arrested for selling vegetables in Jamshedpur

Mumbai police on Wednesday arrested a person who sent threatening messages to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Worli police in Mumbai arrested him from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. Last week, the Mumbai Traffic Police received threatening information about Salman and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore. Currently, with the help of the local police in Jamshedpur, the person who sent the message has been arrested.

A senior police officer said a team from Worli police was interrogating the detainees. He will be taken to Mumbai for further action. After receiving the threatening message on the WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai Traffic Police, a case was registered and investigation started. During the course of investigation, police learned that the threatening message was sent from a number in Jharkhand. Several police teams were sent to Jharkhand to arrest the accused.

Accused sells vegetables in Jamshedpur

In a bid to find the person who sent threatening messages to actor Salman Khan, Mumbai police traced the number in Jharkhand. The accused is a vegetable seller who is a resident of Jamshedpur. The accused arrested by the police has been identified as Sheikh Hussein Sheikh Mohsin. The accused is 24 years old and sells vegetables in Jamshedpur.

A day earlier, officials said police had laid a trap to nab the accused. But the Mumbai Traffic Police received an apology from the same mobile number. Actor Salman Khan had earlier received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. In April, suspected gang members opened fire outside actor Bandera’s home.

Police uncover murder plot

A few months ago, Navi Mumbai police uncovered a conspiracy by the Bishnoi gang to murder Salman Khan. Security measures for the cast have been tightened following this incident. Meanwhile, Salman’s friend, National Communist Party (Ajit) leader and former minister Baba Siddiqui was also publicly murdered in Mumbai.

Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three people a few days ago. He later died in hospital. The names of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang also came to light in this case. So far, the police have arrested 14 people involved in the case.
