Bhavish Aggarwal, chairman and managing director of Ola Electric, on Thursday reacted to a user who posted a picture of a man using an Ola scooter headlamp to deal with the power outage.
An X user on the label Ola Electric, Ola Scooter and Bhavish Aggarwal shared a photo of a man working with a scooter light and said: “Using my ola as power source as power outage throughout the day.”
In this regard, Agarwal said: “PowerPod will soon solve such needs.”
Several X users reacted to the post, with one suggesting placing a socket in the boot space.
“Works great 👌👌 In future vehicles, @OlaElectric should put a socket in the boot space for external use in case of any emergency need,” said an X user.
“Seeing someone using my Ola as a backup power source is a reminder of how far we’ve come with electric vehicles. I can’t wait for the Ola PowerPod to take over and officially make the process a lot smoother,” said X user Amit Misra.
Another user called Agarwal “Olan Musk.”
One user suggested making the Ola scooter a power box instead of making a separate battery. “So, anyone who buys an Ola scooter can use it as a power box. The same battery can be used multiple times,” said X user R Bala.
