Man detonates bomb outside Brazil’s Supreme Court, triggering panic

Sao Paulo: A surprising case came to light in Brazil. Here, a man who failed to get into the Supreme Court blew himself up outside the building. Officials briefing the incident said the judge and staff left the building and came out after the incident. Brazil’s Supreme Court said in a statement that two huge explosions were heard after the court session at around 7:30 pm on Wednesday. After the explosion, all judges and staff evacuated the building safely.

First, explosives were placed in a parliament car park

Firefighters confirmed one person was dead at the scene in the Brazilian capital, but the victim has not yet been identified. Selina Leo, deputy governor of Brazil’s Federal District, said the suspect earlier detonated an explosive device in a car in the parliament parking lot, causing no casualties. According to “Speaker” Arthur Lira, LEO recommended closing parliament on Thursday to avoid risks. Brazil’s Senate agreed to his request and the lower house will be closed until noon.
