The Mamata government of the state is on the back foot in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal. There are continuous protests in the state against the brutality done to the victim. Meanwhile, the victim’s mother has made a scathing attack on Mamata Banerjee and made serious allegations.

On Monday, in a press conference at Nabanna, the Chief Minister clarified that there was no mention of giving money to the victim’s family in the RG tax case. CM Mamata Banerjee said, ‘The victim’s family should present proof of where I talked about money. This is a propaganda.’

Now on this issue, the victim’s mother targeted the Chief Minister and said that the Chief Minister is lying. The Chief Minister said that you will get money and you will build something in memory of your daughter. I had said then that when my daughter gets justice, I will come to your office and take that money.

Regarding the Chief Minister’s appeal to the people of the state to return to the festival, the mother said, “I find it inhuman because I am the mother of a girl. I have lost a child, so I feel inhuman.” She further said, “If people from all over the country want to return to the festival, they can. But they consider my daughter a member of their family. If they can return to the festival, I have nothing to say.”

He said, ‘Durga Puja was celebrated in my house too, my daughter used to celebrate it at home. But Durga Puja lights will never be lit in my house. The lights in my room are off. How can I ask people to return to the celebrations?’ If such an incident had happened in the Chief Minister’s family, would he have said this?’

The victim’s mother alleged that the Chief Minister is trying to strangle the movement. She said, ‘Mamata Banerjee wants to strangle the movement, like my daughter was strangled, the evidence was destroyed. Because, if the movement is stopped, it will be able to stay in its place better.’ She warned that until we get justice, we will remain on the road, we will remain in the movement.

What is the case of RG Kar Medical College

On 9 August, in the wee hours of the morning, a female resident doctor was raped and murdered at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. After committing the crime, the drunken accused Sanjay Roy slept in the same building, who was later arrested by the police. The CBI is currently investigating this case. After the incident, many important revelations have been made during the arrest and interrogation of Sanjay Roy.

What Sanjay Roy did after the incident has entangled the police in many questions. According to the information that came out after the interrogation, after the incident, Sanjay Roy went straight to the Fourth Battalion and slept there.
