Mahayuthy’s 10 assurances, MVA’s 5 promises… Who dominates who in Maharashtra election manifesto?

Both Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti have released manifestos for the Maharashtra elections.

A slew of promises were made in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. On the one hand, the ruling party Mahayutthi gave 10 guarantees, and on the other hand, the opposition party Maha Vikas Aghadi made 5 major promises. Women, farmers and youth are at the heart of both alliances. To a certain extent, it can also be said that no matter which alliance wins the election, these three classes will continue to be at the center of power. All three departments receive funding commitments every month.

First of all, if we talk about Mahayuthi’s manifesto, it was released on November 5. In Mahayutti’s declaration, Laadli Brahmin Yojana was given first place. The manifesto had said that 2,100 rupees would be given to the beloved sisters if they returned to the government. In addition, for the safety of women, 25,000 women will be recruited to join the police force.

Promise of loan relief to farmers

At the same time, farmers have also been promised loan waiver and the amount under Krishak Samman Yojana is said to be increased from Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000. In addition to this, it has also promised to create 2.5 million jobs through training and provide monthly tuition of Rs 10,000 to 1 million students. The manifesto also mentioned increasing the wages of Anganwadi and Asha servants to Rs 15,000.

10 Major Commitments in Mahayut’s Declaration

  • Commitment to increase monthly amount received under Ladli Brahmin Yojana to Rs 2100
  • Farmers will get loan waiver and the amount under Krishak Samman Yojana will be increased from Rs 12 to Rs 15,000.
  • It promises to create 2.5 million jobs in the state, train 1 million students, and provide monthly tuition of 10,000.
  • Promise to provide food and shelter to every poor person! i.e. a promise to provide free rationing facilities
  • Promises to increase monthly pension to pension holders from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100
  • The state pledged to stabilize prices of basic commodities.
  • Concrete roads will be built in 45,000 villages in the state.
  • Promises Rs 15,000 monthly salary and security to Anganwadi and Asha workers
  • Commitment to focus on solar and renewable energy by reducing electricity bills by 30%.
  • Maharashtra Vision 2029 after government formation, promises to be fulfilled within 100 days

On the other hand, if we talk about the opposition Mahavika Aghadi alliance, five guarantees have been promised by the parties involved. Among the five promises, Mahalakshmi, protection of family, agricultural prosperity, commitment to youth and assurance of equality were promised. Maha Vikas Aghadi said these five promises will be fulfilled first if they win the elections.

Maharakmi: Through this scheme, women will get Rs 3,000 per month and free bus service facility will be provided to women across the state.

Family protection: Through this scheme, health insurance coverage up to Rs 25 lakh will be provided. Apart from this, free medical facilities will also be provided.

Equality guaranteed: The state will conduct a caste census and has promised to lift the 50% reserved caste limit.

Agricultural prosperity: Farmers will get loan waivers of up to Rs 3 lakh and will receive incentives of Rs 50,000 on regular repayments.

A word to young people: The unemployed in the state have been promised monthly assistance of Rs 4,000.

Now, it remains to be seen who promises more in the election than who. Both coalitions have made huge promises to attract voters. Maha Vikas Aghadi’s stance on conducting a caste census remains clearer than before. In states where Congress is in power, caste census is taken seriously. As for the Laadli Brahmin Yojana, all parties involved in Mahayutti have high hopes for it. The credit for the BJP’s victory in the Madhya Pradesh elections goes to this scheme, which was launched by then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
