Mahavir Phogat on Vinesh Phogat Retirement: Vinesh Phogat has filed a case in the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) due to her disqualification just before the gold medal match in Paris Olympics 2024. Whose decision was to come on 13th August, which has now been postponed to 16th August. But meanwhile, the statement of Vinesh Phogat’s uncle Mahavir Phogat regarding the decision has come out.

Mahavir said that he hopes that the decision will come on August 13, 8 days after the appeal. However this could not happen. Mahavir said that he is confident that Vinesh will get the silver medal and on her return home she will be welcomed like a gold medal winner.

Mahavir will convince Vinesh to break his retirement.

Let us tell you that Vinesh’s gold medal match was on 7th August. But on the same morning, his weight was found to be 100 grams more in the weight category of 50 kg freestyle event. In such a situation, Vinesh was declared ineligible and thrown out on the morning of the match. The next day i.e. on 8th August, 29 year old Vinesh retired from wrestling.

Now Mahavir Phogat has given a big statement in this matter. He said that he and his entire family will convince Vinesh to break her retirement and return to the ring. If Vinesh takes back her decision of retirement, then preparations for the 2028 Olympics will be started.

Vinesh Phogat’s uncle Mahavir Phogat and his entire family are waiting for the decision. He told Aaj Tak, ‘We have been waiting for the decision in this matter for the last 4-5 days. We hope that he will definitely get the silver medal. We will welcome him like a gold medalist.

Star wrestler Vinesh has retired after being disqualified in the Paris Olympics. On this matter, Mahavir Phogat said that we will convince him to break his retirement and play the next Olympics. He said, ‘We will try our best and leave no stone unturned to convince him to take back his decision (of retirement) and start preparations for the 2028 Olympics.’
