Maharashtra: Wife of Antilia bomb case accused Pradeep Sharma joins Shiv Sena

Pradeep Sharma’s wife Swikriti Pradeep Sharma has joined Eknath Shinde led party Shiv Sena. During this, Chief Minister and Party President Eknath Shinde himself were also present. Swikriti Sharma is the vice president of PS Foundation, an NGO run by her husband. It is being told that she can contest the assembly elections from Andheri East seat of Mumbai.

Swikriti Sharma’s husband Pradeep Sharma had also earlier contested the election from Nalasopara assembly seat on undivided Shiv Sena ticket, but lost. Interestingly, in 2021, when Pradeep Sharma’s name had surfaced in the Antilia bomb case, BJP had attacked the undivided Shiv Sena. However, the party later split, and the Shinde-led Shiv Sena is currently an ally of the BJP.

When Pradeep Sharma campaigned

In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Pradeep Sharma had campaigned for Ravindra Vaikar, the candidate from Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena party. However, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey had targeted BJP regarding this. He had then said that BJP and its allies were taking “support of criminals” because people were not with them.
