There are still differences of opinion in many seats in the MVA alliance.
Even after filing nominations in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the situation of political conflict within the Maha Vikas Aghadi continues. Sanjay Raut accused the Congress of fielding more candidates than the agreed number. Raut had said that there was a need to avoid the Sangli model.
In fact, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Sangli seat was won by the Shiv Sena (Uddhav) but Congress rebel Vishal Patil contested from here. Shiv Sena (Uddhav) ranks third in this seat due to Vishal. After the elections, Vishal joined the Congress.
What did Sanjay Raut say?
Shiv Sena (Uddhav) spokesperson Sanjay Raut said the parties are yet to follow the Union Act. Candidates were also fielded on many compromise seats. However, there is still time to withdraw the nomination. Our effort is to convince everyone.
Raut said that the two sides have reached agreement on 90% of the seats, but 10% of the seats are in dispute. We are working hard to resolve this issue so that the Sangli pattern does not repeat itself.
During this period, Raut also targeted Devendra Fadnavis. He says don’t trust Devendra Fadnavis. Fadnavis was talking about Tata Airbus. Rs 40 crore for the project was originally intended for Nagpur but ended up going to Gujarat.
Why is Fadnavis talking about the future when he cannot work for his Nagpur?
Which seats are in trouble?
There was rebellion within the Congress party in Sangli. Prithviraj is officially contesting from here, but MP Vishal Patil’s sister-in-law Jayashree is also contesting from here. Likewise, there are issues with the Miraje’s seating.
There is also a fight between the Congress and the Shiv Sena (UBT) for the Vidarbha and Mumbai seats. Both Uddhav Thackeray and the Congress have fielded candidates for the Ramtek seat. Chanderpal Chowksey is contesting under the Congress Party symbol here and Vishal Barbate is contesting under the Shiv Sena (UBT) symbol.
Likewise, both Uddhav’s army and Congress fielded candidates from the Nashik central seat. Shiv Sena (UBT) has handed over the flag to Basantrao Geete. Ghulam Ghaus ran for Congress.
Both the Congress and the Shiv Sena (UBT) have fielded candidates in the Bandra East seat as well. The Congress has awarded the symbol to Arjun Singh here while Varun Sardesai is from the Shiv Sena (UBT).
