Maharashtra stirs uproar over ‘imported goods’ claim, NC Shena files FIR against Arvind Sawant

Shaina NC has filed a case against Shiv Sena UBT MP Arvind Sawant.

Shiv Sena UBT MP Arvind Sawant has been booked for his controversial remarks against Shaina NC, the BJP candidate from Maharashtra’s Mumba Devi seat. Based on a complaint by Shinde faction Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC, a case has been registered against Sawant at Nagpada police station.

In Mumbai, Shiv Sena UBT MP Arvind Sawant, while replying to the BJP candidate Shayna from Mumba Devi constituency in North Carolina, said she was an import. There is no need for imported goods in Mumbadevi region, said Arvind Sawant, the MP from Mumbai South under whose seat this assembly is taking place. In this context, he went to seek votes for Congress candidate Amin Patel and said this in an interview with the media.

BJP tries to cash in on Sawant’s statement

Now, Arvind Sawant is embroiled in controversy over his petty comments. Shaina NC lodged a complaint against him at the Nagpada police station in Mumbai, following which the police have now registered a case against him. The BJP went all out to capitalize on Sawant’s statement so not just UBT or Arvind Sawant but the entire opposition was put on the back foot.

The issue relates to respect for women, in which case the opposition’s problems are likely to increase. After Arvind Sawant’s controversial statement, Shine NC says I am not a commodity. I’m a woman. Shaina questioned Uddhav Thackeray, Nana Patole, Sharad Pawar, Sanjay Raut and Priyanka Chaturvedi on this, why is the entire opposition silent now? Why isn’t anyone talking about this?

Shayna NC said – I am a woman, not a commodity

Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC said that we all know that Maha Vinash Aghadi has no respect for women. Today we all talk about Lakshmi Puja, today is the day of Lakshmi Puja. This is an auspicious moment. Arvind Sawant ji said you are imported. I have been in public life for 20 years and everyone knows my dedication. I am a woman. The Mumbai Police has registered an FIR under Section 79 Rule 356-2 of the Indian Judicial Code.
