Congress leader Rahul Gandhi
The process of checking the luggage of leaders campaigning for the Maharashtra Assembly elections continues. A day after Election Commission officials inspected Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s helicopter, now Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter and luggage were inspected in Amravati. Meanwhile, in Raigarh, the bag of NCP Sharad Chand faction leader Sharad Pawar was checked.
As soon as Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter landed at the Damangaon Railway helipad in Amravati, Election Commission officials rushed there. Thereafter, officials checked the helicopter and Rahul’s bag. After the inspection, the police returned. Meanwhile, Rahul went to attend a public meeting. Eight candidates will campaign and seek votes for Mahavikas Aghadi in Amravati district.
“The public will give a fitting reply to those who attack the Constitution”
Addressing an election rally in Amravati, Rahul Gandhi said that only the Constitution gives us the power to live with our heads held high and with dignity. The people of Maharashtra will give a befitting reply to those who attack the Constitution. He said hatred is spreading in the country as Narendra Modi has ended the employment system.
The Congress leader said today there are no employment opportunities for young people in any state as the country’s billionaires bring goods from China and sell them here. Factories were closed due to demonetisation and GST. Small businesses that provided jobs for people were destroyed.
Rahul said the BJP people were killing the constitution in closed rooms.
He said Prime Minister Modi and the BJP were killing the Constitution in secret rooms. When Shah and the BJP met to steal the Maharashtra government, were they protecting the constitution? Today, the entire state of Maharashtra knows that the government stole Dharavi because they wanted to give Dharavi land to their friends.
The Congress leader said, like I said just now, Prime Minister Modi may have lost his memory, but the media will say that he has a strong memory. The media will say that if Prime Minister Modi hears something, he will not forget it for 70 years. Then he would talk about fighting a crocodile in a lake when he was young.
