Voting for the Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held on November 20. Previously, all political parties were conducting election campaigns intensively. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Panvel, Maharashtra on Thursday. In his speech, the Prime Minister fiercely targeted the Congress party and the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. The prime minister said the slogan of the Congress is “Garibi Hatao” but it only preys on the poor.
The Prime Minister said Congress is at the forefront when it needs the votes of the poor, but when it comes to working for the poor, it is nowhere to be seen. Describing the Congress as the enemy of the poor, the Prime Minister said if the poor get rehabilitated then you will all be happy but the Congress is not happy about it.
250 million people lifted out of poverty in 10 years
The Prime Minister said it was the responsibility of the poor to stop the Congress party. Congress has always passed agendas that keep poor people poor. Generation after generation these people have made false promises to gain votes from the poor. Even after 70 years of independence, people are still struggling for basic amenities, but this has changed in the past 10 years. The BJP government has lifted 250 million people out of poverty in the past 10 years.
Swaraj and Suraj were in the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
In his speech, the Prime Minister said that Maharashtra is the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji. Shivaji has pledged Swaraj and we are solving the issue of Swaraj together with Swaraj. The prime minister said that in 2013, when the party selected me as the prime ministerial candidate, I came to Raigarh Fort and took the blessings of Shivaji Maharaj.
Congress pushes for Jharkhand infiltration
Attacking the Congress, the Prime Minister said these people in Jharkhand promised that they would also provide cheap gas cylinders to infiltrators if their government was formed. A Congress leader today said he would provide cheap gas cylinders to Hindus and Muslims as well as infiltrators if his government is formed in Jharkhand. “The Congress party is playing with the future of your children,” the Prime Minister said. During this, he also raised the slogan “Ek hai to safe hai”.
